Recreational vehicles are divided into 3 classes. The class A is the largest type available. This is more than 30 feet long and has everything from the bathroom, to the kitchen, a laundry room and a bedroom. A vehicle like this will cost more than $200,000 which is more expensive than some luxury cars.

The class B RV's is a bit smaller. The length of these vehicles will not exceed 25 feet. It has almost the same things that the class A has except that it does not have a bedroom. There is a couch on board that serves as the sleeping area. The price tag on this model is around $42,000 to $68,000.

The class C's are the smallest ones available on the market. The space inside is much smaller so a lot of things found in bigger models won't be found here. The basics available are a kitchen, foldable beds, toilet and a bath. The price tag is about $50,000 to $100,000.

Apart from these three, there are other versions such as foldable camper trailers and the truck campers. People who want to get an RV can buy it for less than $10,000.

Someone who can't afford to buy a brand new one can check for a used model. These are usually advertised in the classified ads in the newspaper or on television. Before buying, it will be a good idea to go inside and get the feel of the vehicle.

A little test drive will also be advisable to see how well it does on the road and when making turns. The person can ask for certain deals or wait till summer is about to end and purchase one. Most dealerships drop the prices to get rid of the old inventory in anticipation of the new delivery.

Those who want to buy an RV should think very carefully before doing so. Should this provide everything that the person wants instead of a real home, then getting it will be rewarding in the long term.
